some random questions that occur to me as I sit here in my chair this morning, watching the sun come up. maybe I should ask myself these periodically...
what am I learning?
what is God forming in me?
what am I (pastorally) forming in others?
what is the practical outcome, the tangible benefit, to others of my life lately?
am I paying attention to the most important things, or simply the most urgent things?
anyone care to share your answers to some of these before I take a crack at them?

Answer them for you or for me??
You are forming in others the ability to take responsibility for their experience at church and in a community. Something that is so much more valuable and sustaining in life than trying to feel the results without living any of it out.
That is where my answer comes in.. This year I have learned what is like to actually give and depend on God to get. I have been taught what it means to show up, then have God show up, and be amazed at how different that looks than what I thought I wanted out of Him. I have never imagined giving so much of myself. I have never lived so..fully.

Good answers :) I was thinking more about everyone else answering for themselves, but I'm glad you answered for me too, because you said some nice things, and bob loves hearing nice bob things...
