who can plant a church?
I did an article that's been published in a couple of places on church planting- it's generated some good discussion, including a whole blog entry/essay @ cawleyblog .
In it, I try to take on the two things that I see church planters saying to potential church planters:
you don't have what it takes.
if you try it, and it doesn't "take" you have failed.
I'll blog more about these two things later (maybe they will turn into articles themselves), but until then, check out the original article and the critique.

Bob, I must confess that I haven't been able, yet, to read the whole article, but your philosophy of ministry to me seems just right. Especially your "Start small." That's where I stopped reading, rushing off to find an essay by Wendell Berry I thought you might enjoy. It's called "Think Little" and it's found in his 1975 collection "A Continuous Harmony: Essays Cultural and Agricultural." Here's a link, which I can't vouche for. http://www.msu.edu/~kikbradl/little.html
