briefly...
feeling a bit overwhelmed.
We had a long elders meeting last night (our elder meetings really rock, by the way. Congenial, collegial... always good).
Anyway, It's times like that when we take a more systematic look at what's happening in our community that I begin to see the enormity of what's in front of us.
If present trends continue, we'll outgrow our current meeting space in 10 weeks.
We need to drive conversations on doing more for young children among us.
We need to start conversations about how we educate and ground and love and care for the teens who have recently shown up in our midst.
There are a handful of other, smaller issues and challenges to deal with, but just those three alone have my head spinning.
Any other emergent-type churches out there for whom traditional sunday-school approaches are either unpalatable or simply unfeasible? How have you cared for/taught the teens?
