open windows...

it's 53 degrees right now (according to my new OSX Tiger™ dashboard widget!).

I'm sitting in my chair, with the windows open, luxuriating in the slightly chilly air. I absolutely love slightly chilly air. It's my favorite of all the airs.

Here in Oregon, you get it during the fall on the way to obnoxiously cold and wet. Side note: it gets cold enough here to be really annoying. It rarely gets cold enough here to be fun or interesting, which is a shame.

Anyway, you also get it in the spring as the pendulum swings back the other way. Also, many summer mornings, before the heat hits.

Anyway, right now it's perfect, and I'm going to enjoy it.

In fact, it's been a good morning all the way around.

I've really, really had a hard time getting up this week, but not today.
Out of bed at 4:45am!
Reading the Good book from 5 to 5:30 or so. Reading Stan Grenz's Created for Community as a way to get my head back in the theology game as well as to begin preparing for a monday night theology discussion we're going to do for six weeks coming up soon.
Then yoga/prayer (I try to do them together)
Then blogging.

Jack actually slept in this morning! He allowed me to get through a whole blog entry before I needed to get him up.
A little snuggling with Jack-a-rooni.
And now a SECOND blog entry for the day while Jack toddles around the office, pulling books down from shelves.
He just handed me Brennan Manning's Ragamuffin Gospel... and he's grunting. uh oh. Grunting means...
*sniff*
*SNIFF*

eeehhwwww.

Gotta go.
