my sister used to live right by the Summit (where this church now gathers). i mean, do you like buy a ticket to go to church and get seats. what if they have honest scaplers in the parking lot?
We might plant something small and emergent when we pay this place off...and start the publishing company...and accuire that cable network...and...
Everything's bigger in Texas!
coming from a small church plant in huntington,in ,i laughed out LOUD out pure astonishment of the sillyness of the size and delightful commentary you added in your obeservation...maybe one ofthe funniest things I have read in a long while
ya, i am from the same place in huntington. i used to be all about the super-church, but after understanding the need for a close community at our church, these mega-churches do need to plant. there are enough people in some churches to start a 100 church plants, ans each one can be unique in style and outreach. it is not about the money folks. do we really think that there can be closely knit hearts when you have to stand in line 1hr at a fellowship dinner. by the time the last person gets through, others have left and connections are lost.
