preaching re-imagined!

rock on!

I got home tonight and there was a package waiting for me from Zondervan...

"That's funny," think I. "I don't recall..."

I open it up...

And there's Doug (My Hero) Pagitt's new book, Preaching Re-Imagined.

Again, rock on!

And here's the thing... It came straight from Zondervan, I checked CBD and Amazon and my church card and my personal account and no. I don't appear to have ordered or paid for this beautiful little book.

AND... it's not even released until Sept 1st!

Apparently, I've been comped.

I feel all giddy and schoolgirlish and a little dizzy.

So, for all you big time bloggers and perfessers and actual authors who get free jive all the time... just let me enjoy, this, my very first advance copy. :)

I'm especially excited, because having heard doug "speak" on this, I know that his ideas fit in well with and will complement the way we do sundays at evergreen- teaching through dialogue.

Blogging about this book will commence very, very shortly.

Thanks Doug! (And if Doug didn't send this, and I actually did pay for it and have just forgotten, lost the info, whatever... don't burst my bubble. Allow me to believe :)

I think you are safe. I got my comp copy today as well(also my first comp). I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it. (And yes, Mark, who I know is reading this, you can borrow my copy)

I will spend no time lamenting the fact that I have never received a comp copy of anything. Instead, I will ask in advance for a comp copy of any and every book bob does in the future.

Thank you.

Ha! It seems my attention span has shrunk down to merely blog entry dimensions... sigh.
But I still harbor dream of writing "Letters from the Organic Church."

So if the fine folks at Zondervan are reading this, hoping to see what I say about their wonderful new book, Preaching Re-Imagined, let it be known I'm interested and will send you a chapter outline whenever you like :)
